Jeremy’s Charity Swim

Jeremy's Charitable Endeavor: Making Waves for Type 1 Diabetes with DigiBete

In the heart of Leeds, Headfirst owner Jeremy has previously received an invitation from Buckingham Palace to celebrate his outstanding charity efforts. After this prestigious recognition, Jeremy set his sights on an even greater challenge — a daring open water swim in Loch Tay, Scotland, on Saturday 19th August.

He Did It!

Well done to Jeremy on completing the swim in the very cold Loch Tay! We'd like to say an enormous "thank you!" to all of those who have donated, we really do appreciate it.

All funds raised will go to DigiBete, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes and their families in the Leeds and West Yorkshire region.

If you'd like to donate there is still time, please click the link below to donate however much you can.

Community and Support

DigiBete has built a thriving online community where families can connect, share experiences, and seek support from others who truly understand the challenges of living with Type 1 Diabetes. This network serves as a source of strength and encouragement for those facing this condition daily.

Awareness Campaigns

The charity actively advocates for greater awareness and understanding of Type 1 Diabetes, challenging misconceptions and reducing the stigma often associated with the condition.

Jeremy's Loch Tay Challenge: A Pledge to Make a Difference

Jeremy's determination to take on the open water swim in Loch Tay is a symbolic act of solidarity with those living with Type 1 Diabetes and their families, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey. By supporting Jeremy's fundraising efforts for DigiBete, you will be contributing to a lifeline of resources and assistance for those in need.

HeadFirst client and Jeremy's friend Dr Fiona Campbell has recently received an OBE for her dedication and contribution to children’s & young people’s diabetes in Leeds. Dr Campbell has also been a major force in pushing for the children’s hospital.

Jeremy has swam for her in Windermere seven years ago and now again on his Loch Tay swim. Congratulations Jeremy!
